STANDARD DESIGN, dissenys estàndards








Una anàlisi política de com l'adjectiu estàndard influencia i es relaciona amb el disseny.

Aquest àlbum de cromos, vol entendre des del disseny, l'ambigüitat aparent de l'adjectiu «estàndard», qüestionant els seus valors socials i patrimonials, sota la convicció que en major o menor mesura, tot disseny sol basar-se i restringir-se per estàndards, és a dir convenis socials. Els estàndards arriben a ser essencials per la convivència humana, però solen venir condicionats per posicions de privilegi. Això desemboca en dissenys que perjudiquen col·lectius oprimits. Aquesta recerca destaca i genera dissenys que ajudin a conviure amb els estàndards, al mateix temps que es demana com pensar i preservar aquests convenis des de posicionaments crítics, antifeixistes i antiantropocèntrics.
 A political analysis of how the adjective standard influences and relates to design. 

This sticker album tries to understand from the design point of view, the apparent ambiguity of the adjective «standard», questioning its social and heritage values, under the conviction that to a greater or lesser extent, all design is usually based on and restricted by standards, by social conventions. Standards become essential for human coexistence, but they tend to be conditioned by positions of privilege. This results in designs that harm oppressed groups. This research highlights and generates designs that help to live with the standards, while at the same time asking how to think and preserve these agreements from critical, anti-fascist and anti-anthropocentric positions.

Exposició i presentació

Plantejada com una trobada per intercanviar i enganxar cromos, es va dur a terme als lavabos, de la universitat on presentava el projecte. Un espai que obeeix molts estàndards de disseny i arquitectònics. On també es generen col·leccions d'adhesius col·lectives.
Exhibition and presentation

Conceived as a meeting to exchange and stick trading cards, it took place in the toilets of the university, where the project was presented. A space that obeys many design and architectural standards. Where collective sticker collections are also generated.
