(ENG) Since 2011, the Cardedeu Esplai has been located on the top floor of the former  Tèxtil Rase Factory. A building that, in 2019, the Town Council began to remodel under the Factory of Culture project. Transforming it into a series of ‘multipurpose’ white and grey cubes, with a rational, populist and supposedly ‘neutral’ aesthetic, which hardly reflects either the factory's past or the identity of the organisations that use it selflessly.

However, during this renovation, the Esplai's premises were overlooked and left abandoned. In 2022, when the Esplai returned, after being unable to access it due to the renovation of the rest of the building, the premises had become a practically empty, dirty and very run-down space. This led to a commission, the Diogenes Commission, gradually emerging within the Esplai, responsible for the aesthetic and practical management of the space. A dissident and counter-cultural management that will contrast with the rest of the building.

Comissió Diògenes

Des del 2011, l’Esplai de Cardedeu s’ubica al pis superior de l’antiga fàbrica Tèxtil Rase. Edifici que, l’any 2019, l’Ajuntament va començar a remodelar sota el projecte de la Fàbrica de Cultura. Transformant-lo en un seguit de cubs blancs i grisos “polivalents”, amb una estètica racional, populista i suposadament “neutra”, que pràcticament no reflecteix ni el passat de la fàbrica, ni la identitat de les entitats que en fan ús de manera desinteressada.
Ara bé, durant aquesta reforma, el local de l’Esplai no va ser contemplat i va quedar abandonat. L’any 2022, quan l’Esplai va tornar-hi, després de no poder accedir-hi a causa de la reforma de la resta de l’edifici, el local s’havia convertit en un espai pràcticament buit, brut i molt degradat. Fet que va provocar que, dins l’Esplai, a poc a poc, anés sorgint una comissió, la Comissió Diògenes, encarregada de la gestió estètica i pràctica del local. Una gestió dissident i contracultural que contrastarà amb la resta de l’edifici.
